Digital Rights Management (DRM) is the use of keys and certificates to authorize playback of a video stream to a specific user and/or device over IP streaming like OTT. DRM provides a mechanism to distribute content encryption keys securely, to specify rules for the use of those keys, and to ensure that content decryption and processing is executed in a secure environment.
