Definition

A Perceptual Quality (PVQ) evaluation technique, based on mathematical models, where computer algorithms rate the quality of the video, i.e., video quality is not rated by human subjects (see Subjective Quality Assessment). Objective Video Quality assessments strive to approximate Subjective Video Quality results. Objective Video Quality evaluations can be classified into FR, RR and NR approaches (see Full Reference, Reduced Reference, No Reference).
