Encoder Boundary Point (EBP)

Encoder Boundary Point (EBP) is used by the ABR transcoder to signal segment boundaries that are used by the packager downstream to generate the segment files. Standardized by CableLabs [OC-SP-EBP-I01-130118].

Time To First Byte

Time to First Byte (TTFB) refers to the time between the browser requesting a resource (i.e., a webpage, a video manifest, a video segment) and when it receives the first byte of information from the server.
