Definition

Real Time Messaging is a communication protocol for streaming , , and over the Internet. Originally developed as a proprietary protocol by Macromedia for streaming between Flash Player and the Flash Communication Server, it has since been widely adopted for streaming to and from other end points due to it’s low characteristics and Adobe (which acquired Macromedia) has published the specification of the protocol for public use.
